Arnaudville, LA
One of the oldest towns in St. Landry Parish, Arnaudville, LA was once the site of an Attakapas Indian village. It became known as La Murière and La Jonction, then finally Arnaudville in the early 1800s. It was named for the Arnauds, a family of French settlers, whose descendants still reside in the area. Arnaudville was incorporated in 1870.
Arnaudville is unique in that it is in two different parishes - St Landry Parish and St Martin Parish.

Festivals and Events
- Étouffée Festival - (337) 754-5912; 4th weekend in April - Étouffées of all kinds can be found at this yearly festival for the family. Live music, parade, entertainment for the children, a crawfish boil, and the exciting Mayor's Étouffée Cookoff. Activities take place on Main Street.
- Avant Noel - - (337) 754-5571; Saturday before Thanksgiving; 5 p.m. - This benefit gumbo with entertainment is held at the Little Flower Auditorium. Sponsored by the Altar Society of St. Francis Regis Catholic Church. Tickets required.
